ST. LUKE THE EVANGELIST ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH

After a tragic fire destroyed the better part of the St. Luke parish’s church building and parish offices in early 2014, O’Brien & Keane worked closely with the client to determine the best course of design work to refurbish the damaged property. Although some of the original building structures remained intact, it was determined that an entirely new church would be designed and built, to serve as an addition to the surviving parish office buildings as well as to meet the needs of a growing Catholic community.

The new church design features a cruciform layout with a truncated apse, and clerestory windows throughout the nave and transepts. It now stands at 10,000 square feet and accommodates approximately 450 congregants. The sanctuary and Altar of Sacrifice are located under the center of the crossing.
