Renovation
Nursing Lab
The Nursing School was in a need of an integrated lecture area and research space. Featuring modular built-in desks for lecture style classes, the room also featured desks for group collaboration and individual research, converting the space into a one-size-fits-all location for the students. To better serve the students’ needs, there is a built-in charging station for various electronic devices from phones to tablets to computers.
Physics Lab
This Project set out to increase the capacity of two adjacent physics classrooms, provide suitable teaching surfaces, and declutter the lab of unsightly cabling and electronic components. This required working together with the head of the physics department and office of procurement to specify the correct furniture, determine the most appropriate cabling access points, and provide the integration of all of the lab components utilizing proper adjacency to the workstations. Additionally, the communicating lab support room was to be renovated to enhance the utilization of the space, provide easier communication amongst the lab assistants, and provide appropriate furniture for their needs.
