New Construction

The Vedanta Center is a new temple building located within a wooded enclave in the suburbs of Washington, DC. With a growing following of devotees, the Center felt the need for larger worship space, and called for a design that embodies the spirituality of the Ramakrishna Mission. The design effort established a striking and evocative identity by employing a unique architectural idiom inspired by its spiritual home, the Belur Math in India.
