| The Vedanta Center is located within a wooded enclave in Silver Spring. MD. With a growing following, the Center felt the need for a larger worship space embraced in a design that embodied the spirituality of Ramakrishna Mission. O'Brien and Keane's design of the new temple is carefully joined with the existing structure while establishing a striking and evocative identity with the use of a unique architectural idiom inspired by its spiritual home, the Belur Math in India. |
