O'Brien and Keane's premier assignment in 1993 was to
administer the construction of this Project. Designed by Anderson
O'Brien Architects, with James O'Brien serving as Project Manager and
Architect, the Project entailed stripping the bones of the existing
structure bare, sheathing it in new skin and resuscitating its systems.
The building is now clad in Georgia "sugar" marble, green Vermont granite,
polished stainless steel and clear glass, and is home to elite commercial
enterprises.
The design received awards from The American
Institute of Architects and the Washington Building Congress. |
